Nardo Grey is a flat, solid grey with no metal flake, often described as the colour of wet cement. It started as an Audi paint colour and is now a common wrap colour on all kinds of cars. Upload a photo of your car and see a Nardo-style grey on it in gloss, satin or matte.
Nardo Grey is the name of an Audi factory paint (paint code LY7C). It is a solid, non-metallic medium grey that looks flat and modern, and other makers have offered similar greys.
Wrap films sold as "Nardo Grey" are lookalikes made by film makers. They are not Audi paint, and two films with the same name can look a little different. Our preview shows a Nardo-style grey, not any one film.
The colour is the same idea in each, but the finish changes the feel.
The closest to the factory paint look. Most Nardo films on sale are gloss or high gloss.
Softer reflections, which makes the flat grey look even more like concrete.
Completely flat. It looks the most aggressive and needs matte-safe care.
Examples on sale: 3M 2080-HG61 High Gloss Nardo Gray and TeckWrap High Gloss True Nardo Grey CG27-HD. Avery Dennison does not sell a film named Nardo; ask your installer which of their greys comes closest.
Hold a sample next to a photo of the look you want, outdoors, before you choose.
Sellers give very different numbers for Nardo grey films, so ask your installer about the exact film. For comparison, Avery Dennison rates its SW900 solid colour films up to 10 years on vertical surfaces and 2 years on the hood and roof (data sheet revision dated 03/10/26).
A picture helps you choose a direction. These checks help you choose the actual film.
Wrap film looks different in sun, shade and under shop lights, and a small swatch looks different from a whole car. Ask the installer to hold a sample on your paint outside.
A pink or a grey from one brand is not the same colour as one with a similar name from another. Always give the installer the brand, the film line and the colour name together.
Cast films such as 3M 2080 and Avery Dennison SW900 are made to stretch over curves. Ask which line the shop uses and how long they expect it to last on your car.
Wrap goes over sound factory paint. Chips, clear coat peeling and old repaints can show through or lift when the film comes off.
Some states and countries ask you to report a colour change to the vehicle registry, and some limit mirror-like reflective finishes. Ask your installer or the local vehicle agency.
Save your before and after picture and take it to two or three local wrap shops. Tell each one the film brand, line and colour you want, for example "3M 2080 Satin Black" or "Avery Dennison SW900 Gloss Dark Green".
Ask each shop to show you a sample of the Nardo-style grey on your car, whether door jambs are included, and what the warranty covers. A picture of your own car makes it easy for them to see what you mean.
The tool draws an approximation of each colour and finish from a description. It is not the film maker's swatch, and screens show colour differently.
It is a preview, not a quote. It does not measure the car, check the paint or give prices.
Very shiny finishes such as chrome are hard to show: the reflections in the picture are invented and will look different on your street.

Nardo Grey is a paint name owned by its maker. The preview is a similar grey, not the factory colour.

No. Wrap films called Nardo Grey are lookalikes. Compare a sample outdoors with the look you want.
Examples include 3M 2080-HG61 High Gloss Nardo Gray and TeckWrap High Gloss True Nardo Grey CG27-HD. Ask your installer what they can order.
Gloss is closest to the paint. Satin and matte make it look flatter and more industrial. Try all three on your car.
About the same as other gloss colours: roughly $3,000 to $4,500 for a sedan in the US. Try our car wrap cost calculator.
